NEWS – Acquisition of G&K Fine Foods

In a strategic move to expand our national retail business, Royal Foods is very pleased to announce the acquisition of G&K Fine Foods, effective from 21 October 2019.

 

The acquisition broadens our range of premium brands and strengthens our ability to contribute to the growth of our independent retail customers across Australia.

 

G&K Fine Foods has been a respected national gourmet food distributor for over twenty years, so we’re also pleased to have been able to retain most of the team from G&K and transfer this wealth of added experience into our business.

 

In an environment where many direct-to-store distributors are reducing the size of their field teams, we’re doing the opposite! Our track record shows that regular instore presence of our experienced sales and merchandising teams leads to better ranging decisions, well planned and executed promotions and ultimately, great results for our customers.

 

Our field sales team operates across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland South Australia and ACT. We service Western Australia through a local partnership.

Our customer service teams are based onsite at our distribution facilities in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Giving Back

Joining forces with The New Life Trust to help rescue abandoned & orphaned children is an important part of our giving back programme.

Royal Foods donated canapés and table gifts for their latest fundraising event, the Ladies Day Out, which was held in August. 160 ladies attended the Brisbane based event, which included market stalls, a fashion show and raffles.

Over $4500 was raised to support the Trust’s work in Myanmar and we’re delighted to have had the opportunity to be involved in helping a great cause.

What’s New for Food Solutions?

The annual release of our award-winning Food Solutions catalogue has been well received by customers, who are always impatient to see what’s new in our range.

This year we have launched over 150 new lines, many of which cater for the growing demand for special dietary products. The rising trend of special meal requests adds cost and complexity for our customers to every function and meal service. In response we have increased our range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free products.
